"WE VOTE!" is a participative democracy project whose theme is related to promoting knowledge about the mechanisms of participatory democracy among young people from disadvantaged communities:
Specific objectives of the project:
- active participation of a total of 40 young people with fewer opportunities to national and transnational activities that will lead to the acquisition of skills, knowledge and skills about the mechanisms of participatory democracy.
- Acquisition by 40 young people with fewer opportunities of attitudes that will lead to their involvement in the electoral system of their own country.
- Developing solidarity and tolerance among young people by creating a non-formal space for interaction.
- Contributions to the development of support systems for youth activities.
- Initiating a trans-European partnership with active organization on the field of participative democracy. This partnership will offer examples of best practices for other organizations.
The implementation period of the project is 11 months, in a partnership of active youth organizations from Romania Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece and Italy. These organizations will select 40 young people to participate in the project activities.
Project activities will be conducted in Baile Olanesti – Valcea, Romania
Project’s main activities:
- project preparation
- project launch conference
- workshop on the mechanisms of participative democracy
- workshop on defining participation methods
- Intercultural day
- Structured dialogue with local authorities
Project’s activities will be implemented by means of a series of non-formal education methods: workshops, intercultural games, energizers, structured-dialogue, debate dialogue, public cafe, photo-voice.
