SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT
A CALL TO CHANGE is a training course with European countries- France, Spain, Greece, Belgium, Estonia, Portugal, Turkey, Scotland, Bulgaria, Poland, Austria, Slovak Republic and Italy – that will gather 30 participants during 8
working days in Palermo, Italy.
The main themes of the course are poverty, human rights and youth with fewer opportunities.
The main aim of the project is to contribute to fight poverty and social exclusion of youth with fewer opportunities, which are more vulnerable. As well the project approaches poverty from a human rights perspective which is much richer and complete than an approach based on income. The participants (youth workers) will learn different tools that they can multiply in their own local community and in other YiA projects.
The main activities foresee are: organisations fair, intercultural evening, presentations by participants about situation of youth in their countries, Compass activities and other experiential activities, film viewing, oppressed theatre, meeting with the local community to share best practice in the field, thematic round tables. All activities will be developed according to a peace education approach and a non-formal education system based in a learning by doing methodology and a participatory and democratic learning process.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. Promote greater knowledge on the topic of poverty and marginalization in general and how this is reflected in young people with fewer opportunities.
2. Promote the exchange of information on the differences between the various European countries involved in the project under the poverty associated with young people.
3. Learning to reflect on poverty through a human rights perspective.
4. Acquire new tools to promote the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities and to give them skills to get out of poverty and exclusion (empowerment).
5. Analyze and discuss best practices concerning the different strategies, activities to combat social exclusion and poverty of young people with fewer opportunities in the various countries involved.
6. Develop strong partnerships and new-business projects for the themes.

THE WORKING METHODS
The learning tool we prefer will is the "Peace Education", which emphasizes a participatory approach and democratic learning. The peace education focuses heavily on content, processes and methods that consider the individuality of the human being, and together the group's needs. Within this context the educational learning process is based on a cooperative process where the needs of the group are designed in a flexible manner as to be able to adapt planned activities according to emerging needs. In this context we have therefore chosen working methods that rely on active involvement of participants
